Russell W. Higgins is an associate attorney with Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Higgins practiced in the field of criminal defense. As an associate for several years with the Law Offices of Richard A. Loftus in Westlake Village, California, and later as a solo practitioner, Mr. Higgins participated in many jury trials, including a notorious and lengthy death penalty trial, as well as motion practice and courtroom hearings in criminal cases of every description.

Mr. Higgins holds a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, with a major in literature and a minor in history. Mr. Higgins earned his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California, graduating cum laude. While studying at Pepperdine, Mr. Higgins won multiple awards and commendations, receiving a partial scholarship and serving as a senior staff member of the Pepperdine Law Review. Mr. Higgins was admitted to the State Bar of California.
