Jeffrey A. Beaumont, Esq.

Mr. Beaumont is a principal and partner of Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian, a full-service community association law firm that has been representing homeowners associations for over 30 years. Mr. Beaumont manages the Firm’s community association law department, maintaining offices in Los Angeles (Woodland Hills), Central Coast (San Luis Obispo), Central California (Bakersfield), Inland Empire (Rancho Cucamonga) and Orange County (Orange).

Mr. Beaumont devotes his practice to providing corporate/general legal counsel and litigation services to the Firm’s community association clients. Mr. Beaumont has a broad range of legal experience, from drafting legal documents (governing documents, contracts, resolutions, policies, etc.) to conducting complex jury trials. Mr. Beaumont’s philosophy is to bring to the table the diversity necessary to most efficiently, affordably and effectively represent Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian’s clients.

Mr. Beaumont is extremely active in the community association industry. He serves on many trade, educational and legislative organizations, such as:

  • Community Association Institute (CAI). Mr. Beaumont serves as a national faculty member and is a member of the Channel Islands, Los Angeles, Inland Empire and Orange County Chapters. He served as the 2006 Channel Islands Chapter President and currently serves as Chair of the CEO Manager Committee.
  • Delegate - California Legislative Action Committee (CLAC). Mr. Beaumont monitors legislation affecting homeowners associations and informs industry professionals and Board members on pending laws.
  • California Association of Community Managers (CACM). Mr. Beaumont is an affiliate member and member of the Legal Steering Committee, which educates community managers and assists CACM in legal policy.
  • Building Industry Association (BIA). Mr. Beaumont is a member of BIA, an organization devoted to the residential building industry.
  • Member – American Bar Association, California Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Mr. Beaumont obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of La Verne College of Law, graduating with honors and in the top 2% of his class. He also participated on the College of Law’s moot court team, competing nationally, and served as the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Legal Advocacy & Practice, a prestigious legal periodical. He also graduated with honors from the California Lutheran University with a Bachelors of Science.


Lisa A. Tashjian, Esq.

Lisa A. Tashjian is a partner for the law firm of Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian - a full service community association law firm with offices in Woodland Hills, Inland Empire, Bakersfield, Orange County, and San Luis Obispo.

Education

Ms. Tashjian graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor's of Art degree. She obtained her Juris Doctorate law degree from Pepperdine University Law School in 1996. Ms. Tashjian was admitted to the California State Bar in November 1996, and immediately started representing and servicing community associations.

Experience

Ms. Tashjian has been practicing community association law for most of her legal career focusing on litigation, general counsel work and assessment collections. At Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian she devotes her daily practice to serving the legal need of the firm's community association clients.

Ms. Tashjian is active in various community association organizations, such as Community Associations Institute and California Association of Community Managers.


Jasmine M. Termain, Esq.

Jasmine M. Termain is an associate attorney for the law firm of Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian, a full service community association law firm with offices in Woodland Hills, Inland Empire, Bakersfield, Orange County, and San Luis Obispo.

Education

Ms. Termain has a Bachelors degree from Baylor University (Waco, TX) with a double major in Political Science and Communications (Rhetoric) and a minor in History.  In 2002, Ms. Termain obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University School of Law (Malibu, CA) and also received a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and the Law from the Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law.  Ms. Termain was admitted to the California State Bar in 2003

Experience

Ms. Termain has a long history of experience in real estate matters, having served as corporate counsel to BNF Construction, a construction management firm that has participated in projects globally with the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, and other well recognized names where she negotiated engagement agreements, reviewed monthly draws, and other related matters.  Immediately prior to joining BGT, Ms. Termain also served as corporate counsel to Phillips Group USA, a California-based real estate developer with residential and hotel projects around the West Coast and Latin America.  While at Phillips Group USA, Ms. Termain helped implement Associations and their CC&Rs, drafted project operating agreements, managed and coordinated the company’s legal interests in its development projects, facilitated and oversaw entitlements, land use and zoning approvals with local governments, and also assisted in project financing and acquisitions.  Ms. Termain’s career has also included a position in the Private Wealth Management division of UBS Financial Services, serving as in-house counsel to an Internet publishing company located in Camarillo, California, and she has worked abroad at the London office of McDermott, Will & Emery in their e-Commerce division.


Russell W. Higgins, Esq.

Russell W. Higgins is an associate attorney for the law firm of Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian, a full service community association law firm with Offices in Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Bakersfield, Orange County, and San Luis Obispo.

Education

Mr. Higgins holds a Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University (Auburn, AL) with a major in Literature and a minor in History. In 2002, Mr. Higgins obtained his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law (Malibu, CA), graduating cum laude. While studying at Pepperdine, Mr. Higgins won multiple awards and commendations, receiving a partial scholarship and serving as a senior staff member of the Pepperdine Law Review. Mr. Higgins was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2003.

Experience

Prior to joining the law firm of Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian, Mr. Higgins practiced in the field of criminal defense. As an associate for several years with the Law Offices of Richard A. Loftus (Westlake Village, CA), and later as a solo practitioner, Mr. Higgins participated in many jury trials, including a notorious and lengthy death penalty trial, as well as motion practice and courtroom hearings in criminal cases of every description.


Heidi J. Nau, Esq.

Heidi J. Nau is an associate attorney for the law firm of Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian, a full service community association law firm with Offices in Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Bakersfield, Orange County, and San Luis Obispo.

Education

Ms. Nau graduated Magna Cum Laude from Buena Vista University (Storm Lake, IA) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law (St. Paul, MN) in 2004. While studying at Hamline, Ms. Nau was involved with the Minnesota Innocence Project, which takes on the cases of convicted but innocent people. Ms. Nau was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar in October of 2004 and was admitted to the California State Bar in November of 2007.

Experience

From 2005 to 2007, Ms. Nau practiced at a general practice firm in Minnesota. At that firm, she handled a wide variety of legal matters, including real estate transactions, estate planning and probate, contract formation, family law and litigation.

Immediately prior to joining BGT, Ms. Nau practiced at a large regional law firm where she defended numerous corporations from toxic tort claims.


Frederic Esrailian, Esq.

Frederic Esrailian is an associate for the law firm of Beaumont Gitlin
Tashjian - a full service community association law firm with offices in
Woodland Hills, Inland Empire, Bakersfield, Orange County, and San Luis
Obispo.

Education

Mr. Esrailian graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor's of
Art degree in Philosophy with an emphasis on Law. In 2004, he obtained
his Juris Doctorate law degree from Loyola Law School. He was admitted
to the California State Bar in December 2004.

Experience

Mr. Esrailian began his career at the Law Offices of Norton & Melnik,
where he represented individuals and businesses [in] cases involving
real estate, construction defect, premises liability, and automobile
accidents. Immediately prior to joining BGT, Mr. Esrailian worked at
Meserve, Mumper & Hughes LLP representing insurers in life, health and
disability matters. At Beaumont Gitlin Tashjian[,] he devotes his daily
practice to serving the legal needs of the firm's community association
clients.

Mr.Esrailian is also a licensed Real Estate Broker.
